Automatic detection of the HI gas line in massive data from pre-Square Kilometre Array surveys

• Object of study: Galaxies and neutral hydrogen gas (HI 21 cm emission line);

• Method: Deep Learning (detection and characterization);

• Data: Big Data from the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) precursors/pathfinders (MeerKAT, ASKAP, LOFAR, …);

Goal: Produce high-confidence Deep Learning detection and confirm candidate detections. Eventually, statistically and physically analyze the detections.

L’Observatoire d’Adrien

Description

In 2021, I created “L’Observatoire d’Adrien”, a programme to popularise science on the Internet. The aim of this initiative is to communicate and share my knowledge and passion with the general public. I started with YouTube and then expanded my audience and activities with TikTok and Instagram.
